Xianda (Tianjin) Seawater Resources Development Co., Ltd. was established in 2012. Its establishment is primarily for the investment, construction and operation of Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone Seawater Desalination & Integrated Utilisation Project. It is part of the Xianda Group that has been operating in China since 1993.
This company was setup to help China achieve its goals of expanding its domestic demand and sustainably developing its economy. China has restructured its economic policies to emphasise investment in energy conservation, emissions reduction and environmental protection. By leveraging the technological know-how, patents and financial strength of the Xianda Group, Xianda (Tianjin) Seawater Resources Development Co., Ltd. has been able to invest in a number of projects across North East China. Utilising the most advanced membrane technology, these projects range from municipal water supply to wastewater reclamation to seawater desalination and chemical production.
