1)Clarified Seawater: Once the raw seawater has been treated with Submerged Membrane Filtration (SMF), most of the suspended solids, particulate matter, and microorganisms are removed. This higher quality seawater is used primarily for industrial cooling.
2)Desalinated water: Seawater cannot be used in most industrial processes due to the high concentration of salts. Once the seawater is treated with Reverse Osmosis (RO), the concentration of salt is greatly reduced. The desalinated seawater can be used in petrochemical processing, steel making, pulp and paper processing, recirculated cooling water, product washing, etc.
3)Deionized water: Deionized water refers to water where almost all impurities in the form of dissolved salts have been completely removed. Deionized water is used in boilers, power generation, semiconductor chip washing, etc.
