The brine from the bromine plant flows to the magnesium chloride plant due to the pressure difference present between the processes. Crystallisation of MgCl2 is carried out in a Single Effect Distillation (SED) column. The precipitated product is cooled to form solid Magnesium Chloride “flakes”.
