Nangang Industrial Zone is strategically situated in Nangang Port. It is located in the southeast of the Binhai New Area, a distance of 45 km from Tianjin city, 40 km from Tianjin Airport, and 20 km from Tianjin Port. Nangang Industrial Zone consists of “Five Parks”. These "Five Parks" are the Petrochemical Industrial Park, Integrated Industrial Park, Port, Logistics Park and Public Utilities Park.
Nangang Industrial Zone aims at being a world-class energy and chemical industrial base, a hub port of petrochemical in north China, and a national demonstration zone of circular economy. With a planned area of 200 km², Nangang Industrial Zone prioritizes the sectors such as oil refining, basic chemicals, synthetic materials, engineering plastics, new chemical materials and fine chemicals to build an interactive petrochemical cluster.
Up to now, more than 30 projects have been launched in Nangang, including the Sino-Russia 13-million–ton Refinery Project, PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, National Crude Oil Storage, Shell Lubricant and Dow Chemicals, etc.
